Workers at Peñasquito, Mexico’s largest gold mine, accepted a proposal from operator Newmont (NYSE: NEM; TSX: NGT) late on Thursday, ending a four-month-long strike that cost the miner millions of dollars a day.

First Majestic Silver (TSX: FR; NYSE: AG) has delivered positive drilling results from its San Dimas and Santa Elena mines in Mexico and the Jerritt Canyon project in Nevada. In the first half of 2023, the company had up to 19 active drill rigs and completed a total of 78,973 metres of drilling across its portfolio of mines and projects.
U.S. Gold (NASDAQ: USAU) has been granted a key permit that allows the company to proceed with construction at its proposed CK gold-copper-silver mine in Wyoming.
